Candidate Qualifications/Information
In order for a person to be eligible for election to a county office
they must meet the following qualifications.

Candidates for office must circulate petitions and gather the required number of signatures to have their name placed on the primary ballot.
Candidates must file a $500 Threshold Exemption Statement or Statement of Organization prior to circulating any petitions.
Candidates must comply with all campaign finance reporting laws. Campaign Finance requirements are covered in A.R.S. §16-901 to 918.
Packets containing information, petitions and other forms required to be filed to become a candidate, may be obtained from the Graham County Board of Superivsors Office/Elections Department at 921 Thatcher Blvd., Safford, Arizona.
Candidates for county offices must file with the Graham County Elections Director at the above address.
Candidates for state and federal offices must file with the Office of the Secretary of State, Elections Division, 1700 W. Washington, 7th floor, Phoenix, Arizona (602) 542-VOTE (8683).
Candidates for school office must file with the School Superintendent's Office.
