carefully before filling out your application:
For Classified announcements, it is not necessary to attach supplemental information to the application. The county application form, if properly completed, contains all the information necessary to determine if the applicant has the required knowledge, skills and experience to be considered for the next step of the examination process.
For Unclassified announcements, you may attach a resume or other additional information to the county application form, however do not write "see resume" on the application, in lieu of completely answering any of the required informational items
In addition to experience and education, applications may also be rated for legibility and completeness. It is to your advantage to type or print your responses as neatly as possible.
Applications must be signed and dated and returned to the Graham County Board of Supervisors Office, prior to the closing time and date indicated for each announcement. Any application that is not submitted by the appropriate date will be rejected, unless the announcement indicated that it was an open continuous recruitment.
It is to your advantage to always submit an original county application form and to keep a copy of what you submitted for your own records. However, if you are applying for more than one position, you may submit a copy of an application that you previously submitted.
Although applications for county employment are retained for six months, each recruitment is considered separately. We are not responsible for locating, copying and filing an application that you have previously submitted, for the purpose of considering it for a new recruitment.
