What is WIC? WIC is federally funded nutrition education and supplemental food program that promotes improved nutrition and health for infants, pregnant and breastfeeding women, and infants and children up to 5 years of age.
Who is Eligible? Pregnant Women
Breastfeeding Women
Women who have a baby less than six months old
Infants and children up to five years old who:
Live in Graham County
Have a Nutritional Risk and
Meet the Established Federal Income Guidelines

Who can ask for WIC? Moms, dads, aunts, uncles, and even grandparents who care for children under five years of age can get services from WIC. Call 428-7690 and a staff member will talk to you on how you can qualify.
How do you get free WIC Services?
1. Call 428-7690 to make an appointment with the WIC Office. 2. Meet with a WIC Health professional at your appointment. 3. If eligible, you will be given checks for nutritious foods. 4. You will also be given a list of grocery stores where you can shop and exchange your checks for WIC approved foods.
What type of documents or information will I need to bring with me to my appointment?
* Everyone who will be enrolling into the WIC program. * Your driver's license or other picture ID. * Proof of address, like an electric bill. * Proof of income, like a pay stub or letter from AHCCCS or Food Stamps that qualify you for their program.

What are the benefits of being on the WIC Program? 1. You get nutritious foods at no cost, including products such as baby formula, iron fortified cereal, cheese milk, eggs, peanut butter beans, whole grains, fruits, and vegetables. 2. You receive nutrition counseling for yourself and your family. 3. You save money. The extra money can be used to purchase additional fruits, vegetables, meats, baby foods and other nutritious foods. 4. Referrals to other health care services. 5. Fruits and vegetables are also offered seasonally (Dec-July) through the Graham County Gleaning Program. 6. Good nutrition, starting with pregnancy, will provide the best opportunity for children to grow up strong and healthy.
Additional Nutrition Services In addition to the WIC Program, Nutrition Education for groups and organizations may be available upon request.
