Mr. Charles J. Gatwood-Administrator

Mr. Charles J. GatwoodSupervises Juvenile Detention Officers assigned to the detention facility and schedules staff for daily operations; schedules and provides initial and ongoing staff training; evaluates the performance of assigned staff and enforces progressive discipline as necessary; acts as media officer, authorizing information to be distributed to the news media and the general public regarding operations of the detention facility; answers citizen and detainee complaints regarding detention facility operations; supervises the maintenance of the juvenile detention facility and equipment; develops and enforces detention facility’s policies and procedures; prepares reports, budgets, and grant applications, and maintains records related to the custody of juveniles; contracts for the delivery of services or otherwise assures that education, medical, psychological, counseling and other programs are provided in accordance with established requirements; assures that food services, clothing, and other necessary provisions are available; reviews referrals, police reports, juvenile records, affidavits, and other documents regarding detainees to ensure that legal requirements are met and that the detainees are available for trials, hearings, and release programs; requires on-call status as directed; performs other duties as assigned.

Mr. Tyler BlakeAssesses students for educational placement through pre–test and post-test screening; coordinates with local schools In regard to educational records, the development of educational plans and objectives, and requirements for tutoring and supervised study; assists in the development of and implements the established curriculum; identifies instructional methods and materials that will be used, including the use of automated courseware that corresponds to a variety of basic skill levels; develops and implements activities that maximize the abilities and aptitudes of the student; presents and facilitates lectures and discussion; maintains attendance and progress records; assists students in developing education and career goals; coordinates school Mr. Michael Bilicicassignments with the students home district; confers with probation and parole officers with regard to student education activities; performs other duties assigned.

Performs daily sick call for incarcerated individuals in both detention facilities; contracts with and schedules a Physician or Physician’s Assistant for weekly clinical visits, as determined to be necessary subsequent to the sick call process; assures the availability and delivery of non-proscription and proscription medications; sets up the medication cart for use by detention staff and tracks the delivery of medications; trains detention staff in the proper use of the medication cart system; assures the availability and maintenance of all medical records on incarcerated individuals; prepares contracts for necessary services; reviews all medical bills for accuracy, prepares expenses for payment, and identifies available discount rates; coordinates with federal representatives for the delivery and payment of medical services for federal detainees; prepares necessary reports, orders, and budgets; develops detention medical service program procedures and techniques; performs other duties as required.

Mr. Larry Stidum-Federal Case Manager

Manage a caseload of up to 24 juveniles; organizes and updates juvenile case management files; conducts individual, group or family counseling sessions related to specific programs or individual plans; conducts commitment reviews and develops program plans for each juvenile by assessing individual security, medical, psychological, and educational needs; determines facility programming needs, developing and implementing programs based upon those needs; prepares and submits progress and other reports to agencies responsible for juveniles; conducts chemical dependency assessments; performs release planning and other responsibilities related to client programming and case management as outlined in the Federal Statement of Work for Federal Juveniles; performs other duties as assigned by the Detention Administrator.
