Hours of Operation:
7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The purpose of Environmental Health Services is to educate and protect the public and businesses in regards to food safety, sanitation, and vector borne and zoonotic disease. This is accomplished through the process of food establishment, septic system, and well application (less than five acres) plan reviews; the issuance of permits; inspections; regulatory enforcement; mosquito trapping; and submitting mosquito and suspected rabies samples to the state lab for testing.

All businesses operating under a Health Department permit are inspected regularly, including: food establishments (restaurants, mobile units, grocery stores, school kitchens, taverns, etc.), temporary food events, hotels/motels, RV and trailer parks, public and semi-public swimming pools and spas, and garbage haulers.

For new and replacement septic systems, the department reviews and approves plans, and inspects systems following installation. The goal of this process is a septic system that will meet the needs of the current (and future) homeowners, and protect the environment from improperly treated wastewater.
