Choose My Plate

With working moms it can be difficult to prepare nutritious, healthy meals.  ChooseMyPlate.gov contains great topics such as Daily Food Plans, Calories Burn Chart, Solid Fats Chart, BMI Calculator and Portion Distortion.

Take a look at their Daily Food Plan.  You enter the age of your child, weight, height, along with some other information and receive a customized Daily Food Plan!  Print their Kid-Friendly Veggies and Fruits publication and play their “Blast Off Game”.

Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs

Our Graham County residents are very important to us.  Families who have members with disabilities or other special health care needs can face many daily challenges.  Living in a rural area can make those challenges even more difficult.  Good health promotes growth and participation in education, social interaction, recreation and community life, as well as employment, volunteerism and post-secondary education. Our goal is to improve the long-term health and well-being of children and youth with special health care needs. We hope to make things just a little bit easier with a list of resources.
