Class 2 Felony

A. A person not otherwise authorized by law, commits promoting prison contraband:

  1. By knowingly taking contraband into a correctional facility or the grounds of such facility; or
  2. By knowingly conveying contraband to any person confined in a correctional facility; or
  3. By knowingly making, obtaining possessing contraband while being confined in a correctional facility or while being lawfully transported or moved incident to correctional facility confinement.

ATTENTION ALL JAIL VISITORS!

All business hours for court or employment fingerprinting are as follows:
Monday through Friday
8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and
1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

No inmate movement during mandatory lock down times:
7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.
12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.
5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

We no longer accept money orders for inmate’s commissary account.  Money can be posted to an inmate’s account via the kiosk in the front lobby of the Graham County Sheriff’s Office or by phone (1-866-345-1884), or on-line www.accesscorrections.com.

When bonding out an inmate on cash only bonds, ONLY money orders are accepted, NO CASH. If during business hours, bonds must be posted at the proper court(s).

VIDEO VISITS

Visits have to be made at least 24 hours in advance.

All on-site visitors are subject to search. Inmates are allowed one 30 minute visit per week. You must be 18 years of age or older to schedule a visit. Under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

VISITATION RULES AND DRESS CODES

Shorts will be no more than 2″ above the knee. No tank tops, halter tops, spaghetti straps or low cut blouses. Dresses will be no more than 2″ above the knee.

  • Children will NOT be left unattended.
  • NO mail will be accepted over the counter.
  • No more than TWO visitors per visit. 12 and older are considered a visitor (No switching out).
  • You MUST have your ID or you will not be permitted.
  • ABSOLUTELY NO bags, purses, backpacks, weapons, knives, drugs, cell phones, tobacco, alcohol or lighters will be allowed in the facility.

Visitors must have a current, valid government issued identification card or drivers license with a photograph. Anyone less than 18 years of age must be accompanied by a responsible adult. A minor who is married to an inmate must provide a marriage certificate and valid identification.

If you or your visitor(s) violate jail rules, behave in a disruptive way or should you or your visitor make any sexually provocative actions, your visit will be stopped immediately. You and your visitors may face restrictions on future visits.

You must wait six months from the date you were released from Graham County Detention Facility before you can visit an inmate. This waiting period does not apply to visits with members of your immediate family with the approval of the Sergeant or his/her designee.
