We are pleased to congratulate Debbie Barnes for winning the 2017 support staff of the year award for Arizona. Debbie was selected to win the award by the Arizona Prosecuting Attorneys' Advisory Council.
Debbie was named as the support staff of the year based on her more than 20 years of dedicated service to Graham County and for her major work regarding the flood to the basement of the courthouse. Debbie found the flooding in our office that occurred on a Sunday and a holiday weekend. She came into the office by herself and began saving as many of the files and property as she could. She was instrumental in saving a significant amount of government property and in assisting our office in making the transition to and from our makeshift offices during the remodeling process.
Debbie started as a secretary and worked her way up to being our office manager. As the office manager, she keeps everything running as smooth as possible, even in the face of having our office flooded due to a horrific storm. She has a great attitude and is always willing to go above and beyond what is required of her, including working after hours.
