Notice of Regular Meetings of the Graham County Planning & Zoning Commission

Pursuant to A.R.S §38-431.02(F), notice is hereby given to the members of the Graham County Planning and Zoning Commission and to the general public that the Planning and Zoning Commission will hold regular meetings on the third Wednesday of the month, as needed. The meetings will begin at 9 a.m. and will be held in the Graham County General Services Building.

A hard copy of the agenda for the meeting will be available at the Planning and Zoning Office at least twenty-four hours in advance of the meeting.

The Board of Supervisors hears Planning and Zoning issues every first Monday of each month as needed.

Pursuant to A.R.S §38-431.02, the Graham County Planning and Zoning Commission hereby states that all Notices of the meetings of the Planning and Zoning Commission and any of its committees and subcommittees will be posted in the lobbies of the Graham County General Services Building. The General Services building is open to the public Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. except legal holidays. The Graham County Court House is open to the public Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. except legal holidays. Such notices will indicate the date, time and place of the meeting and will include an agenda or information concerning the manner in which the public may obtain an agenda for the meeting.

Note: In accordance with A.R.S §38-431.03(A) (1, 2, 3), an Executive Session for legal advice may be held concerning any of the agenda items.

A.R.S §11-802 states, “The Board of Supervisors…shall plan and provide for the future growth and improvement of its area of jurisdiction…and…form a planning and zoning commission to consult with and advise it regarding matters of planning, zoning, and subdivision platting…” A.R.S §11-806 indicates, “The Commission shall act in an advisory capacity to the Board of Supervisors and may, from time to time, and shall, when requested by the Board, make a report or recommendation in connection with any matter relating to the development of the County…” “The Commission shall prepare and recommend to the Board a comprehensive plan of the area of jurisdiction…to conserve the natural resources of the County, to insure efficient expenditure of public funds, and to promote the public health, safety, convenience, and general welfare of the public.” A.R.S §11-821 - “The Commission shall formulate and adopt a comprehensive long-term county plan for the development of land…with the general purpose of guiding and accomplishing a coordinated and harmonious development of the area of jurisdiction.”

Hearing Application

The Planning and Zoning Commission shall consider an application to schedule a public hearing at the next regularly scheduled meeting, if the completed application is received at least ten working days prior to the next scheduled meeting.
