Immunizations

Child Immunizations

Free vaccines are available to all children, regardless of insurance status, up to and including age 18. Protection against eleven serious childhood diseases is available with today’s vaccines. A completed registration form and copy of the child’s shot record is required for any child needing immunizations. Appointments are then scheduled for a Wednesday afternoon (1:30 to 4 p.m.) or a Thursday morning (8:30 to 11 a.m.) immunization clinic. The afternoon clinic is held on the second Wednesday of every month and the Thursday clinic (except the 2nd Thursday of each month) is held each week.

Adult Immunizations

Adult immunizations (over age 18) are also offered, i.e., Tetanus Diphtheria, MMR, Hepatitis A and B, etc., on an appointment basis. The cost for adult immunizations is $20 each.

Influenza Vaccines & Clinics

The most current Influenza Vaccine is provided for children and high-risk adults, during the fall season. The scheduling of the clinics is dependent upon the receipt of the vaccine shipment and varies annually. The public is informed at the time of these clinics through articles in the newspaper and Public Service Announcements on the local radio station. Contact our Graham County Public Health Nursing Services for more information.
